I’ll be the first one to say “I don’t know who the eff this woman is!” But this I do know – I’ll find out as much as I can about her, because (for now), she’s my pick for #POTUS.
Why? Because 1: The other candidates I wanted to support have shown either a dismal turnout, or their buzz died way too fast. Could I still vote for them? Absolutely! But right now, I’m guessing they’re throwing their support behind this woman. So will I.
Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against Donald Trump – I just don’t think he’s presidential. A great businessman? Sure! But a president? Not even. And there’s no Republican that’ll fight him in the nomination right now – not sensibly, at least.
Then there’s Joe Biden. Like Trump, he’s a walking political chauvinist with a hard-on for the opposite sex. Hilary Clinton would’ve been a better choice than Biden, but for whatever reason – she’s not in this election cycle. To be honest, I don’t think she’ll run again. Time will tell. In the meantime, every decent Democratic candidate that could go the distance seemed to have acquiesced their political clout for Biden.
So two sucky candidates from polarizing parties. I’ve never really been a democrat voter, and over the last few years The GOP has disgusted me with their elitist viewpoints. The policies make more sense to me, but they’re too chicken to make a GOOD stand and just grab windbag like Trump. John McCain was a RINO, and they shied away from Bush Jr’s political leanings, in favor of appearing to be centrist, when they lean so far right that there’s no more room to move.
So I pick this woman. For one, It would be nice to have a female president for the first time, ever! Two, she’s running in my party. If you’re a proclaimed libertarian, you at least get a looksy from me to see what you’re really about – not an automatic approval, but a look. A bit contradictory of a stance when I JUST said I was picking Jo Jorgensen, but I’m still going to look at her until I’m sold, or a better candidate comes along.
Also, it’s not a lesser of the two evils” sort of pick. She could very well be what this and other future elections need, a solid legitimate third candidate in a race where you don’t have to pick between a jackass and a fatass.
So let’s go #Jorgensen2020. Let’s make some waves!
